DSH Hacks V.2
The second edition of the DSH hackathon — global, online, free, and open to students 13+ who want to build at the intersection of AI and healthcare, not just read about it.
How it builds the cultureMakes building the default: in a few weeks an idea about AI and healthcare becomes a working project, made alongside peers from around the world.

DSH Hacks V.2 is a global online hackathon hosted by DeltaForge Hacks, NXT Horizon, and STEMise, themed around AI × Healthcare. Open to students 13 and up worldwide, free to enter. Submissions close November 14, 2026 at 11:45 PM PT (2:45 AM ET on November 15).

IQIC
International Quantitative Investing Challenge — a free quant competition where high schoolers design a strategy, then put it to the test in three weeks of live trading.
How it builds the cultureBrings the culture to finance: students form a hypothesis, test it against live markets and learn from what the data says — the same loop behind innovation in every STEM field.

The International Quantitative Investing Challenge (IQIC) is an annual STEMise competition that introduces high school students to quantitative investing, portfolio construction, and data-driven decision-making. Free to enter and open worldwide to students in grades 9–12, in teams of 1–3 — no prior finance, coding, or math coursework required.
Week one (Oct 26 – Nov 1) is the strategy declaration: a written report on your thesis, rules, quantitative method, and risk limits, worth 80 points. Weeks two to four (Nov 2 – Nov 20) are live simulated trading on StockTrak, ranked against the field on Sharpe ratio, alpha, Treynor ratio, and absolute return for 100 points, with 20 more for trading integrity. Registration closes October 25, 2026 at 8:59 PM PT (11:59 PM ET).

YIPO
Youth International Physics Olympiad — STEMise's new physics competition, bringing the community YIMO built in math to young physicists worldwide, January 2027.
How it builds the cultureCarries the culture YIMO started in math into physics, giving young physicists the same global stage and community of peers.
The Youth International Physics Olympiad (YIPO) is STEMise's newest competition, bringing the format behind YIMO to physics. It's free to enter and open to students around the world.
YIPO is planned for January 2027. Details on the format, divisions, and registration are coming soon.
YIMO III
Youth International Math Olympiad returns for its third edition — a global online contest that brings young problem solvers together around clean problems, fair rounds, and a serious climb. Dates TBD.
How it builds the cultureWhere the culture began, back for a third edition: an olympiad built by students, for students, for every young person who wants hard problems and peers to solve them with.

Following the success of YIMO I and YIMO II, YIMO returns for its third edition. The competition will challenge middle and high school students with individual and team rounds, providing a platform to test problem-solving limits against peers from across the globe. A rigorous, fair, and high-quality tournament format with divisions structured to give every math enthusiast a serious climb.
Dates, divisions, and registration are TBD — details coming soon.
GYSPC
Global Youth Science & Policy Competition — research a real scientific question, then argue what society should do about it: STEM innovation that reaches beyond the lab.
How it builds the cultureWidens what STEM innovation means: a good idea also has to be argued for, because science shapes the society around it.

The Global Youth Science & Policy Competition (GYSPC) is a global student competition co-hosted by STEMise and the Interscholastic Ethics Society. Entrants research a real scientific or technological issue, then propose a policy response to it — and both halves are judged: the rigor of the evidence and the judgment of the proposal.
Four tracks: AI & Digital Society, Bioethics & Health, Climate & Environmental Technology, and Future Society, with one winner per track. An online preliminary leads to an in-person final in February 2027. Registration opens October 2026 and closes December 2026.
YIMO II
Youth International Math Olympiad returned August 29 and 30, 2026 — a global online contest that brings young problem solvers together around clean problems, fair rounds, and a serious climb.
How it builds the cultureWhere the culture began, grown up: an olympiad built by students, for students, proving how many young people want hard problems and peers to solve them with.

Following the success of our inaugural math tournament, YIMO returned for its second edition. The competition challenged middle and high school students with individual and team rounds, providing a platform to test problem-solving limits against peers from across the globe. A rigorous, fair, and high-quality tournament format with divisions structured to give every math enthusiast a serious climb.

YIMO I
Our inaugural Youth International Math Olympiad — where STEMise's culture of youth STEM innovation began, and whose success brought YIMO back for a second edition.
How it builds the cultureWhere the culture began: STEMise’s first proof that students could build a global competition for each other.

YIMO I was STEMise's inaugural math tournament: a global online olympiad challenging middle and high school students with individual and team rounds. Its success set the format — rigorous, fair, division-structured — that YIMO II built on.

DSH Hacks V1
Our first DSH hackathon — May 20 to June 15, 2026, where students built AI projects for STEM education, run with DeltaForge Hacks and NXT Horizon.
How it builds the cultureTurned the mission back on itself: students built AI tools that help other students learn STEM.

DSH Hacks V1 was the first edition of the DSH hackathon: a global online hackathon run May 20 – June 15, 2026 with DeltaForge Hacks and NXT Horizon, themed AI × STEM Education. Its success is what brought the hackathon back for a second edition.
