The Youth International Math Olympiad is back. Following the success of our inaugural tournament, YIMO returns for its second edition on August 29 and 30, 2026 — a global online contest for students who like clean problems, fair rounds, and a serious climb.

The format stays true to what worked in year one: individual rounds and team rounds, with divisions structured so that every math enthusiast gets a challenge that fits — middle schoolers are never staring down problems written for graduating seniors.

What to expect

Expect a rigorous, fair, and high-quality tournament. The competition is designed to challenge middle and high school students against peers from across the globe, providing a real platform to test problem-solving limits — and everything runs online, so all you need is a browser and a weekend.
